Compound words are one of the silliest things to teach and yet they are so much fun! Students always seem to master compound words pretty quickly too, and that is a relief!

This week's Friday Freebie is all about compound words! There are two different activities included in this weeks freebie! These activities are all print and ready to go! There is absolutely no prep needed! It is perfect for homework, stations, or simple review!

In the first activity, students look at two images and combine the two words together to create the compound word. For example, a tooth and a brush becomes toothbrush. Students can also color in the pictures too!

In the second activity students draw a line to connect two words, then they write the new compound word on the lines at the bottom of the page. For example students draw a line from lady to bug, creating the word ladybug!

If you like these activities you can find a whole lot more in my Syllables and Affixes Stage Words Their Way Activity Pack at my TpT store, you can check it out here. You can grab this week's Friday Freebie at the download below! Happy Teaching!
