I hope you had a great first week back at school! I always find myself spending a lot of time planning in the month of January. Lots of new things to print, cut, laminate, and sort for centers! I try to find the most effective yet easy prep resources for my classroom.
I love all my resources in the Alphabetic Stage of Words Their Way Resource Pack. You can find the entire resource here. This week for Friday Freebie I'm giving away some of my CVC Picture and Word Memory Match games.
I love these because they are versatile. You can use them as a memory match game in centers. Simply cut out the cards and laminate. Then students can play memory match every day! Another way to use this resource, is to print a worksheet for each student, then the students cut and match the picture to the word. Finally, students then glue into their journal. Both are hands on center activities with very little prep!!
The Alphabetic Stage in Words Their Way is my favorite because it mainly focuses on CVC words. My favorite skill in early literacy!! This stage also focuses on word families, digraphs, consonant blends, and more! There are over 100 activities in this pack and you can grab it all here.
I hope you love this CVC Picture and Word Memory Match center activity as much as I do. you can grab the download below. Happy Teaching!
