Match the Uppercase and Lowercase Letters

Every January I start working with kindergarten students. These students need extra intervention based on their middle of your data. Typically these students need support with letter names, letter sounds, and letter formation.

For the past few weeks we have been learning the letters again. These students have been making a lot of progress. I have retaught every letter name and sound and we are ready for CVC words.

Learning the letters is way more difficult than it sounds. Students need to learn the letter name, the letter sound, the letter formation for BOTH upper and lowercase letters. It's a big deal to learn all those letters and sounds!

This week's Friday Freebie is all about matching uppercase and lowercase letters along with letter formation. Students practice writing the letter while also identifying the lowercase letter. This is a great way for me to identify the students who have mastered letter identification and formation.

I also love this because students can color the pictures too. It is a sweet activity that I know you can easily use in your classroom for homework or stations / centers!

You can grab this freebie below. If you LOVE this resource, there are a bunch more just like it in my Emergent Stage of Words Their Way activity pack on TpT. You can grab the entire resource here.
