As a teacher, you can never have too many center ideas. Especially a center that's easy to use once everything is prepped and ready to go. This weeks freebie is a great center for CVC words. It is hands-on and self-explanatory. All you need to do is print and laminate and then you're ready to go.

Students tap out CVC words using dots on the page, then build the word with letter tiles, next write the word, and then draw a picture! I laminate these pages and then use as a center with expo markers. When finished, students can take a picture of their work on seesaw or simply show a friend. This is a center I use almost all year long because there are lots of students who still need practice with CVC words.

One of the best parts about this activity is that it gets students to use their hands. When students use their hands while learning how to read & decode it creates lasting brain connections. We always want to get our little kiddos moving as much as possible!
I hope you enjoy this center as much as I do. You can grab the download below.
